Q: If I link the barrels as the bottom of the barrel are the seals strong enough to hold the weight of the water? Are the seals threaded? I wouldn't want the water to leak due to the pressure of the water barrels being full.

A: As you mentioned it would create extra strain on the hose seals. You can do this application, just be mindful and use some caulk around the hose seal. The hose seal is not threaded. The threaded seal we carry is for the spigot or drain assembly attachment.
