EarthMinded Hoses are accordion like. They are easily pulled out to the usable length needed.

Please keep in mind the longer the hose the more support it will need. Once the hose fills with water if might be so heavy as to pull out of the diverter or hose seal.

The longer hose is typically used for an overflow on some designs

A: The hoses are designed to fit into the diverter and the hose seal. They are about 1.25" OD

Q: Is your hose ends easy to push into the diverter? Are all accordion-style rain barrel hoses the same? I just installed 4 rain barrels and used the accordion-style hose that came with the rain barrels. Each one was difficult to insert into the diverter. One of the hose ends creased on me and now drips from the diverter. If these are to be reused every year, the wear and tear of installation will cause them not to last long. Thank you.

A: We cannot speak to products we do not offer. For our products we would highly suggest the use of a little soapy water to reduce the friction

A: The 2 hoses offered are a universal fit with the diverter and hose seal - the only difference is the length of the hose

A: The hose will require a Hose Seal on both sides of the Hose for a water tight seal
